HealthSpan has made the difficult decision to cease offering healthcare coverage in Ohio for 2017. HealthSpan has partnered with Medical Mutual of Ohio and has transitioned most of its insured membership and administrative services to Medical Mutual.

Attn: Important information about HealthSpan’s 2017 Medicare Plan Coverage

HealthSpan Integrated Care has made the difficult decision to cease offering Medicare health plan coverage in Ohio. Effective on midnight, December 31, 2016, HealthSpan Medicare Advantage (HMO) and Medicare Plus (Cost) plan coverage and benefits terminated.

We made arrangements to partner with Medical Mutual of Ohio to assume healthcare coverage for members enrolled in our Individual Medicare plans with prescription drug coverage after December 31, 2016. * For these members, coverage automatically changed to a Medical Mutual Medicare Advantage HMO plan effective January 1, 2017.

*HealthSpan individual Medicare plans that transitioned to Medical Mutual include: HealthSpan Medicare Value (HMO), HealthSpan Medicare Standard (HMO), HealthSpan Medicare Value (HMO), HealthSpan Medicare Plus I (Cost), HealthSpan Medicare Plus II (Cost), HealthSpan Medicare Plus III (Cost), and HealthSpan Medicare Plus IV (Cost).

We made arrangements to partner with Medical Mutual of Ohio to assume healthcare coverage for many of our members enrolled in our Individual and Family plans after December 31, 2016.
